  In my nutrition therapy practice my role is as guide and support to the client as they evolve into their own fullest expression. I see one's relationship with food and body as a place of infinite potential on the journey to becoming fully and freely ourselves. Whether this involves recovery from an eating disorder, a desire to become more intuitive with eating and self care, or simply seeking a greater degree of well being, learning about nutrients is only the beginning. The most important work is learning to turn inward, speak the language of the body, honor its wisdom and intelligence, and to truly nourish ourselves from the inside out. My primary work and passion is in eating disorder recovery, from the first steps on recovery path to many years into the journey. I have been treating eating disorders at various levels of care since 2014 and am currently in the process of obtaining certification through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). My therapeutic style is fluid, individualized, and firmly anti-diet and Health at Every Size. My background in yoga, herbalism, and functional medicine also influences how I approach treatment based on each individual's unique needs. I employ motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques and have also been known to get the hula hoops out to encourage clients into their bodies and out of their heads.
